Electrified Marina

The Dead Batteries Will End Up in Landfills - Myth

Electric boat batteries hold significant value even after they’re no longer suitable for powering your vessel. Once they've depleted to a level where they're no longer ideal for marine applications (after 2,000-4,000 charge cycles), these batteries can still be repurposed for off-grid energy storage, often lasting another decade or two due to the lower amperage demands. After their secondary use, these batteries can be recycled. In fact, there are companies today that will pick up your battery as soon as the next day and pay you by the pound for it.Some huge recycling facilities are already in operation by people like RedwoodMaterials and Li-Cycle.
